Antique Biscuit Tin – up to $3400
It may sound strange, but antique biscuit jars can be worth a lot of money. To be fair, we are talking about biscuit tins from the 1940s and 1950s. But who knows, maybe you or someone in your family still has an old drum in the attic.
Reyne Hirsch, an appraiser for PBS’ Antiques Roadshow, claims that a 1950s biscuit jar sold for a whopping $1200 in 2018. According to Hirsch, jars in the style of a famous cartoon character can fetch even more. For example, a Little Audrey biscuit jar sold for $3400 on a second-hand marketplace in 2019.
