Sky Dancers – up to 80
Before the cartoon sharing its name aired, Sky Dancers, dolls with a pull-string and foam wings, hit the market. Placing the doll on its base and pulling the string allowed it to “fly” as its wings spun like propellers. However, they quickly gained a reputation for being potentially hazardous if directed at individuals.
Introduced by Galoob in 1994, these toys became a hit during the holiday season. Despite their controversial safety, their popularity in the ’90s led to a 2005 re-release and even inspired a series of comic books.
