Already Got Some WD-40 Around the House? Use It for these Amazing Things

32. Remove Permanent Marker

WD-40 is a lifesaver when it comes to getting rid of permanent marker on glossy surfaces like kitchen or bathroom walls and tiles. But, if you’ve got a matte finish, you might not be as lucky.

Soak a rag in WD-40, dab it on the mark, wait a bit, and then gently rub in circles. Don’t press too hard at first to avoid smearing. If the wall’s matte or you’re not seeing progress, more WD-40 and elbow grease might be needed. On semi-gloss, though, you could see success in less than five minutes.
